Bank Robber in Custody
On June 15, 2012 at about 9:20 am, an adult male suspect approached a bank teller and handed her a demand note. The note stated he was robbing the bank and wanted money. The bank teller complied and handed the suspect money. The suspect fled the bank on foot.
A few blocks away a responding officer spotted an individual who matched the suspect description. The individual was detained and later positively identified by multiple witnesses as the suspect. The loss was recovered. The suspect was taken into custody for robbing the Trans Pacific National Bank on Webster Street.
He was booked for robbery and a parole violation at Santa Rita Jail.
NOTE: Earlier this week a message was sent out requesting the publics help in identifying a bank robber. The suspect arrested in this case is not the same person
