Today at about 9:33am, the Bank of America branch located on Michigan Avenue near Oakman was robbed by a lone suspect. The suspect entered the bank, announced a hold-up and implied he was armed. The suspect was described as a dark-complicated African-American male in his 20's, average build and around 6' tall. He was wearing a bright green safety vest with the word "visitor" printed on the back, a light-colored floppy hat, white T-shirt and green camouflage pants. The suspect escaped with an indeterminate amount of cash and likely fled in a vehicle northbound on Oakman from Michigan. Dearborn Chief of Police Ronald Haddad stated: "Our investigation is ongoing and we believe assistance from the community will be crucial in making a quick arrest."
