2012 FREE WHEEL OKLAHOMA TO PASSING THROUGH CUSHING TOMORROW

The 2012 Free Wheel Oklahoma bicycle tour will be makeing its way from Guthrie to Drumright tomorrow starting at day break. It is anticipated the bicyclist will be arriving in Drumright late tomorrow afternoon.

Some 850 bicyclists are expected to make their way through Cushing tomorrow, which is expected to have a positive economic impact on Cushing. In addition, traffic flow will be impacted because the presence of bicyclists.

What can you do to help keep our guests safe?

-Drive smart, safe and aware

-If bicyclists are present, drive below the posted speed limit

-Move left to allow as much space as possible for the bicyclists when traffic conditions permit

-Remember bicyclists do not enjoy the same protections as a person operating a car so drive with their safety in mind

Oklahoma Free Wheel is made up of 850 riders and runs from June 10-16. They are celebrating 34 years of riding across Oklahoma!
