FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BENTON, MISSOURI - Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said today four persons are in custody on drug charges as a result of a drug related search warrant.
Timothy C. Taylor (39) Sikeston, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Bond is set at $100,000.
Celeste P. Johnson (19) Sikeston, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Bond is set at $75,000.
Dakoda S. Watkins (18) Sikeston, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance. Bond is set at $50,000.
Jennifer N. Carpenter (18) Oran is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Bond is set at $75,000.
According to Walter, information was received through an investigation that methamphetamine was being manufactured at a residence east of Miner. Based on information received during the investigation, deputies obtained a search warrant to search the residence. Walter said deputies discovered the suspects inside the residence, in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine when the search warrant was served Monday evening.
During a search of the residence, deputies located all the components commonly used in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine. Also seized were three marijuana plants and numerous articles of drug paraphernalia.
All suspects remain in custody in the Scott County Jail.
