DUI/DL CHECKPOINT RESULTS
Officers Arrest 9 Drivers for DUI
Petaluma, California – On Friday night, June 8, 2012, between the hours of 6pm and 2am Saturday morning, the Petaluma Police Department conducted two DUI and Driver’s License Checkpoints in the City of Petaluma. The first checkpoint was SB North McDowell Blvd at Rand Street between 6pm and 10pm. A total of 837 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Officers screened 714 drivers and conducted additional investigations on 32 drivers in a secondary evaluation area. There were 13 drivers arrested during the first checkpoint. Of those arrested, 3 were arrested for DUI, 5 were arrested and cited for driving on a suspended license, 3 were arrested and cited for driving without a license, and 2 were arrested for possession illegal drugs including prescription drugs and concentrated cannabis (marijuana).
The following drivers were arrested for DUI at the first checkpoint:
Ronald Rogers, age 44, from Petaluma
Lori Cooper, age 58, from Petaluma
Gayle McCullough, age 70, from Petaluma
The second checkpoint was NB Petaluma Blvd North at Oak Street between 11pm and 2am. A total of 130 vehicles passed through the second checkpoint. Officers screened 130 drivers and conducted additional investigations on 21 drivers in a secondary evaluation area. There were 2 drivers arrested during the second checkpoint for DUI. The following drivers were arrested for DUI at the second checkpoint:
Martin Bolek, age 46, from Petaluma
Jeremy Clark, age 29, from Rohnert Park
While the checkpoints were being conducted, beat officers not assigned to the checkpoint operation located and arrested 4 additional DUI drivers. The following drivers were arrested for DUI by the patrol officers:
James Allison, age 64, from Petaluma
Miguel Hernandez, age 37, from Petaluma
Carlos Vides, age 45, from Rohnert Park
Koji Yoshida, age 44, from Petaluma
