Homicides – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 3 gang-related homicides. In 2012 YTD, there have been 11 homicides. In 2011 YTD, there were 11 homicides.
• 5/31, 1539 hrs; Incident occurred in the 14000 block of S Parmelee St.
• 6/1, 2310 hrs; Incident occurred in the 1200 block of E Glencoe St.
• 6/2, 0004 hrs; Incident occurred in the 1300 block of E Tucker St.
Rape – Between 5/27-6/2, there were no reported rapes. In 2012 YTD, there have been 13 reported rapes. In 2011 YTD, there were 30 reported rapes.
Robberies – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 12 reported robberies. There were three armed robberies & 9 strong-arm robberies; five of the strong-arm robberies were chain snatches. In District I & IV, there were four reported incidents during this time period. In 2012 YTD, total robberies are up approx. 15% from 2011.
• Tow Truck Robberies: B/t 5/30-5/31, there were two reported incidents of tow truck drivers being robbed in District I. The suspect called victims to set up a tow and possible vehicle sale. When victims arrived at the location, the suspect approached the vehicle and robbed victims by gun point. In one incident, the suspect fled by bicycle. In both incidents, the suspect pepper sprayed the victims. Suspect is described as MB/18-25/509/160/blk/bro/”FTP” TT on neck.
• 5/30, 1148 hrs; Incident occurred in the 900 block of W Palmer St.
• 5/31, 1610 hrs; Incident occurred in the 1000 block of W 136th St.

Aggravated Assaults – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 14 reported incidents of aggravated assault. Those incidents include one incident of domestic violence, and one incident of child assault. During this period, there were seven ADW-Gun incidents (4 were gang-related). In 2012 YTD, aggravated assaults are down approx. 23% from 2011.
Residential Burglary – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 10 reported residential burglaries. 9 of the 10 incidents occurred in the western station area (District I & District 3). In RD 2836 two reported incidents occurred. In 2012 YTD, residential burglaries are down approx. 36% from 2011.
Comm/Other Structure Burglary – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 2 reported comm/other structure burglaries. In 2012 YTD, there have been 67 reported incidents; down approx. 20% from 2011.
Grand Theft Auto – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 35 reported stolen vehicles. 17 incidents occurred between the hours of 2200-0400 hrs. The most frequent stolen vehicles during this period were 90’s Honda Accords/Civics (15). In District II, 9 vehicles were reported stolen during this time period. In District IV, 10 vehicles were reported stolen during this period. In ERD, there were 8 vehicles reported stolen during this time period. In 2012 YTD, GTAs are down approx. 10% from 2011.
Vehicle Burglary – Between 5/27-6/2, there were 9 reported vehicle burglaries. There were two incidents in RD 2851 during this time period. In 2012 YTD, there have been 126 reported incidents; down approx. 40% from 2011.
