NEWS RELEASE News Release - Crime Spree Ended Over Breakfast:Two Burglary Suspects Arrested

During the early morning hours of June 6th, while on his lunch break at a local restaurant, Beverly Hills Police Officer K. Burger recognized two suspects who had committed a burglary that occurred in Beverly Hills several days prior.

Officer Burger had recently viewed video footage of the suspects using a credit card stolen from a Beverly Hills crime location. The vigilant officer immediately recognized the suspects and called for back-up. With the assistance of other BHPD officers, both suspects were taken into custody without incident as they were leaving the restaurant.

The subsequent investigation resulted in the recovery of evidence and property from a burglary in the 400 Block of North Maple Drive. During the investigation the suspects (Tommy Dixon age 19 and a female juvenile 16, both residents of Los Angeles) confessed to committing an additional burglary in Beverly Hills in the 9200 Block of Alden Drive. It should be noted that while at the restaurant, the suspects paid for their meal using a credit card stolen earlier that night from a West Hollywood apartment while the tenant was sleeping. The female victim was unaware of the crime (hot prowl) until she was contacted by the BHPD officers.

This investigation is ongoing to determine if the suspects committed other crimes in Beverly Hills or the surrounding area.
