Burglary Suspect Caught in the Act
In the early morning hours of May 27, 2012, deputies from Century station were patrolling Long Beach Boulevard in the city of Lynwood when they noticed a suspect acting suspiciously near an unoccupied vehicle. Believing the suspect was involved in criminal activity, the deputies took a vantage point, out of the suspect’s view, and observed her actions. Moments later, the suspect made entry into the vehicle, and quickly walked away with several items from inside the vehicle. Upon contact with the suspect, the deputies conducted an investigation and located the owner of the vehicle. The owner identified the items as being stolen and stated the suspect never had permission to enter the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for vehicle burglary and the stolen items were returned to the owner. Arrests of active burglary suspects aid in preventing property crimes in the city of Lynwood.
