Argument Leads to an Attempted Murder Charge
In the evening of May 27, 2012, Century personnel responded to the 2200 block of Stockwell Street regarding a gunshot victim call. The victim had been shot in the chest by his wife during an argument. Detailed information regarding the suspect was derived during an exhaustive investigation. The suspect was soon located, by detectives from Operation Safe Streets Bureau, at a location on the 1600 block of Grandee Avenue in the city of Compton. A containment was established and the suspect soon submitted to call outs. The suspect was taken into custody and arrested for attempted murder. A loaded revolver handgun was also recovered during the investigation. Century station personnel often work hand-in-hand with Operation Safe Streets Bureau personnel to effectively solve violent crimes.
