Shooting in Grant Hill area

Incident Number: 03590 Date: 06/02/12 Time: 7:10 PM Beat: 515 Watch Commander: Officer David Stafford

Synopsis:
A 19 year old HM (victim) was walking in the North alley of 2800 L St. He was approached by a HM (suspect) who walked up to him and tried to rob him at gunpoint. The victim told the suspect he did not have any money. The suspect then shot the victim in the chest. The suspect fled on foot, running E/B in the alley. The suspect was only described as a H/M wearing a plaid shirt. The victim called his brother and a friend who drove to his location and picked him up. As they drove by the fire station at 945 25th Street, they saw an ambulance parked in front of the fire station. They made contact at the fire station and paramedics transported the victim to UCSD Hospital. The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening. Central Division is investigating.
