Stabbing in Park West area

Synopsis:
A 41 year old WMA transient (victim) was sitting in the lot at 111 Elm St. A 38 year old WMA transient (suspect) walked up to him and asked for money. The two men began arguing. The suspect took out a knife and stabbed the victim twice in the arm. The victim was taken to a local trauma center with non-life threatening wounds to his arm. The suspect was seen by police officers while he was walking away from a Chevron Station. The suspect ran from officers but was caught and taken into custody at 1600 01st St. He was positively identified by two witnesses and the bloody knife was found on his person. He was booked into County Jail for Assault with a deadly weapon. Central Division is investigating.
