West Sacramento Police Department Copper Theft Arrest 
Copper Theft Arrest 5-31-12
On 5-31-12 the West Sacramento Police Department arrested Robert Joyce a 61 year old West Sacramento resident for Possession of Stolen Property and Burglary. West Sacramento Police Officers contacted Mr. Joyce during an enforcement stop and noticed that he was in possession of copper pipe and power tools. At the time of the contact there was a pending call for a theft of copper pipe form a commercial business.
A subsequent investigation determined that the suspect was in possession of stolen property from two recent commercial burglaries where copper piping and other items were stolen. The loss and damages to the businesses was estimated at over $20,000.
The West Sacramento Police Department continues to make strides in investigating and arresting those involved in Copper Thefts within the City.
