On May 31st at approximately 9:30 pm, patrol officers responded to a cutting call on Lasca Street. Upon their arrival, officers observed the victim Porfina Diaz-Escamilla 26 on the ground with multiple stab wounds. The officers then observed the suspect driving off from the location and gave pursuit. After nearly an hour, the chase led officers into Ft. Worth where the suspect wrecked his vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to John Peter Hospital for injuries he inflicted upon himself at the original call location. The suspect condition is unknown at this time. No officers were injured. The victim of the cutting was transported to Baylor Hospital where she is in critical condition. The case number for this offense is 134068-Z and the pursuit case #134115-Z. Due to the suspect not being book into the jail we will not be releasing his information.
