Hockley County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance with several open investigations.

Deputies are investigating several open burglary cases in the Levelland and Whitharral areas. The following are briefs about the open cases.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle/Theft of Firearm: During the overnight hours on or about 1/26/12, unknown persons unlawfully entered several vehicles in the 800 block of North Hwy 385. Several firearms including a rifle and a handgun were stolen during the burglaries, along with several other items.

Burglary of a Building: At an unknown time between approximately February and May of 2012, unknown individuals unlawfully entered a building in the 3900 block North Hwy 285. A red Lincoln welder and an air compressor with large gray tank were stolen during the burlgary.

Investigators are asking anyone that may have observed any suspicious activity, or has descriptions of persons or vehicles that were observed in these areas during the approximate times, to contact the Sheriff's Office.
