Planning Commission is scheduled on June 5 at 6:30 pm in the Wall Street Bldg 8th Flr Hearing Rm located at 2930 Wetmore Ave in Everett.

Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on June 5, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wall Street Building 8th Floor Hearing Room located at 2930 Wetmore Avenue in Everett. The agenda includes a recommendation on the Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) and a recommendation to move ahead with a rezone related to the Everett Station area to allow multiple family housing on city owned property and adjacent property owners who wish the same use.

Each year the Six Year TIP is reviewed by the Planning Commission before going to City Council. The Plan is developed for grant applications to the State and Federal government for a variety of transportation needs and projects. Planning Commission will also review a request by Everett Transit that a rezone be processed for land that Everett Transit owns around Everett Station. The desire is to create a transit oriented development which will help to encourage and support transit usage. With Planning Commission support the public process for this request would start with an outreach to property owners and the public.
