Suspect Descriptions:

Suspect#1: Hispanic male adult, 25-35 years of age, 5’10”-6’00” tall, 200-250lbs, dark clothing armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Suspect#2: Hispanic male adult, 25-35 years of age, 5’07”-6’00” tall, 150lbs, wearing a dark jacket, armed with a silver handgun

On May 19, 2012 at 8:30PM, an arrangement was made by the victim to purchase a vehicle from a subject who posted and advertisement on Craig’s List. The victim and his brother drove from San Jose and agreed to meet the seller in the 1900 block of Whelan Ave. When the victims arrived they got out of their vehicle and were contacted by the two listed suspects. Suspect #1 demanded cash and struck one of the victims in the back of the head with a black semi-automatic handgun. Suspect#2 was standing near-by and acting as a lookout and holding a silver handgun. Suspect #1 took cash, wallets, and cell phones from the victims and told the victims to leave the area by driving away. The victims drove back to San Jose and later reported the incident to the San Leandro Police Department.

Lt. Tudor said “Please use caution when buying or selling items on Craig’s List as there are criminals using these types of web sites to help facilitate their criminal activity”.
