Narrative:
The Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to reports of a traffic collision with injuries on Thousand Oaks Blvd. at the intersection of Live Oak Ave. A white van struck several pedestrians who were attempting to cross the street in a marked crosswalk. One adult and three children sustained injuries as a result of the collision and were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver remained at the scene. Injuries range from non-life threatening to critical condition.
The Sheriff's Commununications Center received several 911 calls reporting the incident. The Ventura County Fire Department arrived and treated victims at the scene. The driver, an adult male, was traveling west on Thousand Oaks Blvd. when his vehicle collided with the pedestrians. An infant who was with the pedestrians was not struck by the vehicle and was not injured. Thousand Oaks Blvd. was closed for about three hours between Skyline Dr. And Oakview Dr. due to the investigation.
