COMMUNITY EVENTS
EVERY 15 MINUTES - The Every 15 Minutes drunk driving prevention program will take place at Lompoc High School on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 and Thursday, May 24, 2012. Wednesday will feature a mock traffic collision complete with transporting the injured to the hospital via ambulance and air ship. Thursday is a mock funeral where the dangers of drunk driving are impressed upon the students at the school. This very effective program has been in place in the Lompoc Valley for over a decade.
H. THOMAS GUERRY AWARDS - Sergeant Nathan Flint will be honored for superior performance and Detectives Brian Guerra and Sergio Arias will receive the valor award on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 4:30 PM in Santa Barbara.
AHC ACADEMY GRADUATION - Officer David Magana will graduate from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Maria on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Officer Magana will be sworn in as a Lompoc Police Officer immediately following the graduation ceremony.
