On 5-16-12, at 11:50 PM, officers responded to an armed robbery at the Toot ‘n Totum at 4224 SW 34th Avenue. The 19-year old female employee reported that a black male 15 to 20 years of age, about 5ft. 9 inches tall, wearing a ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and white shorts entered the store. He immediately walked behind the counter and pointed what was described as a semi-automatic handgun at her. He told her to open the register and cooperate and she would not be harmed. The man took money out of the register and took two packages of cigarettes from the display behind the counter. The man then left the store. The employee was not injured and there have been no arrests in this incident.
