On Friday, 11 May 2012 police arrest Jorge Mercado, age 45 of 106 Dekalb Avenue who is an employee of Club 41 located at 329 Fayette Street, for sell drugs.

The Perth Amboy Police Department's Special Investigations Bureau conducted an investigation and arrested Mr. Mercado with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of the Herbert Richardson Elementary School, being within 500 feet of a public building the Perth Amboy Public Safety Complex and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Bail was set by the Honorable Judge George M. Boyd at $30,000.00 with no 10% option who also authorized a Drug Offender Restraining Order prohibiting Mr. Mercado from returning within 500 feet of this location. The total street value of the CDS seized is approximately $240.00. The investigation was lead by Detective David Guzman.
