Suicide Prevention Program May 21 6pm to 8pm Maine West High School

A two-hour suicide prevention program advising parents on warning signs and intervention strategies will be held later this Monday at Maine West High School. Therapist Ross Rosenberg will give a 75-minute presentation about suicide warning signs, intervention strategies, how parents should talk with teens and handle their dismissive statements as well as how they can be supportive. Rosenberg is the owner of Clinical Care Consultants, LLC in Arlington Heights.

The event will be held 6-8 p.m. May 21 in the Maine West Auditorium, 1755 S. Wolf Road.

Following the presentation, Rosenberg will take questions from the audience and counselors will be on hand to speak with participants and provide resources.

The event is sponsored by Maine Township’s Joint Community Response and Resource Team, Maine West High School and the Park Ridge and Des Plaines police departments.
