Lakeland Police Investigate Business Burglary

Lakeland Police are investigating a business burglary at Pace Inc. On May 13, 2012 at approximately 4:11 p.m., officers responded to Pace Inc. located at 2130 Interstate Drive in reference to a burglary. When officer arrived, they discovered that unknown suspects had gained entry into the business by breaking the front door. The investigation revealed that approximately 1400 pieces of hand held outdoor power equipment had been taken from the business. At the time of the burglary, the business was closed. The brand of the stolen equipment is Red Max. The items taken are hand held blowers, string trimmers, edger’s, backpack blowers, chain saws, and miscellaneous saws. The items are valued at over $340,000.00.

Detectives are actively working this case and following up on all available leads at this time. Lakeland Police are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Criminal Investigations Sergeant Eric Harper at 834-8971.
