Suspect descriptions:

Suspect #1: Black male, 16-19 years of age, 5’06” tall, slim build, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt armed with a black handgun.

Suspect#2: Black male, 16-19 years of age. No further description

On 05-15-12 approximately 10:25PM, a 52 year old victim was walking in the area of W. Estudillo and Alvarado St. The victim was approached by Suspect #1 who pointed a black handgun at the victim and told him he was being robbed. Suspect #1 pushed the victim towards a nearby fence and threatened to shoot the victim if he did not cooperate. The victim noticed a second suspect who appeared to be acting as lookout for the primary suspect. During the course of the robbery the victim was able to run away from the suspects and contact police by phone. The victim last saw the suspects running down the railroad tracks towards Davis St. Officers looked for the outstanding suspects but met with negative results.

Lt. Tudor said “The victim was extremely fortunate that he was not seriously hurt. The San Leandro Police Department wants to remind community members to be mindful of your surroundings especially when walking at night.”
