Narrative:
The Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Hillcrest Drive west of Almon Drive. Gary Gunn was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Hillcrest Drive west of Almon Drive. Gunn’s wife, Rebecca Gunn, was a passenger on the motorcycle. Stephanie Goldstein and her juvenile passenger were exiting a private driveway on the south side of Hillcrest Drive. Goldstein drove her car northbound out of the driveway across the eastbound lanes of Hillcrest Drive.
Gunn’s motorcycle collided with Goldstein’s car and both occupants on the motorcycle were ejected. All of the involved parties were treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance to Los Robles Hospital. Shortly after arrival at the hospital Rebecca Gunn was pronounced deceased due to injuries she sustained during the collision. Gary Gunn, Stephanie Goldstein and her juvenile passenger were all treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated. At this time alcohol / drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is encouraged to call the Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau at (805) 494-8271
