MAN IS STABBED IN TOWNHOME AND DIES: SUSPECT HAS NOT BEEN FOUND
On Saturday, May 05, 2012, at about 4:28 AM, Escondido Police and Fire Communications dispatched a call of a stabbing that occurred @ 868 N. Fig St. This is a detached townhome. The person calling was an adult female resident of that home. She told dispatchers that her ex-husband, later identified as Christopher James Selena, had just stabbed her current boyfriend while inside her home. The woman had fled the townhome to a friend’s home to call the police.
Officers arrived at 868 N. Fig St. to find the home locked. After trying to get someone to come to the door with no success, they forced entry.
Officers found an adult Hispanic male in one of the rooms of the townhome. The male was not conscious and had sustained a large wound to his torso that is consistent with a stabbing. Paramedics began to treat the male, but they were not successful and he was pronounced dead at about 4:45 AM.
The woman said that Selena did not live with her and that there were several cases of domestic violence where he had hurt her in the past and made threats to hurt her. Because of that, she obtained a Temporary Restraining Order prohibiting him from being near or around her.
The woman said she had been in her townhome with her current boyfriend during the night. At one point, Selena came in. Selena was not invited nor welcome in her home.
When the woman noticed Selena in her condo, she saw him near her boyfriend and the boyfriend was not conscious. She noticed the boyfriend was covered in blood.
She fled her home to get help and went to a friend’s home. There, she called the police.
Selena’s whereabouts are not known at this time. Detectives are working on locating him. He should be considered armed and dangerous and he is wanted by EPD for this murder.
Christopher James Selena and sometimes goes by the name of Christopher Selenak. He is described as:
• Male
• Hispanic
• 41 years old- 12.04.70
• 6’ -2”
• 213 lbs.
• Black hair- could be shaved
• Hazel eyes
• Mustache
If anyone sees Selena, they must consider him to be dangerous and need to call 911 immediately.
