DETAILS:
On May 4, 2012 at about 0720hrs, a San Leandro Police officer responded to Roosevelt School at 951 Dowling Ave to investigate a reported suspicious incident. The janitor reported to the principal, that she had located a great deal of apparent blood smeared on the south and east walls of the school. While investigating the incident the officer learned that a wallet was located near the blood stained walls. Officers were able to locate the owner of the wallet who was a San Leandro resident. Police responded to the involved parties residence and were able to contact him inside of his residence. Police learned that on May 3, 2012 approximately 11:00 PM, the involved party was at Roosevelt School playing basketball and drinking alcohol with several other unknown males. The involved party stated he believes he was struck from behind by one of the subjects. The involved party was unable to provide any details regarding the individuals that may have struck him other than one was Hispanic and the other two were black males. The involved party sustained a laceration to the back of his head, which required several staples.
