Fruitport Township Police Department received multiple tips regarding the identity of suspects depicted in images from retail store surveillance cameras where the stolen credit card from this incident had been used. Police followed up on these tips and confirmed the identities of the suspects.
Fruitport Township Police Department coordinated their investigation with Walker Police Department because the fraudulent use of the credit card took place in the jurisdiction of Walker PD.
Arrest warrants were obtained, and the female suspect was arrested in the City of Muskegon on 05/03/2012 through coordinated efforts of Fruitport Township Police Department and City of Muskegon Police Department. The male suspect is still outstanding.
Fruitport Township Police Department would like to thank the Muskegon Chronicle / MLive for circulating the images and members of the public for contributing tips which assisted in the identification of the involved individuals. Additional appreciation is extended to Walker Police Department and the City of Muskegon Police Department for their roles in this investigation.
The identities of the two suspects is not being released at this time. No further information is being released at this time.
