Excavation to Verify Bridge Foundations at 2nd Avenue
and Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA
Attention residents, businesses, commuters, and organizations in the vicinity of 2nd Avenue and Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA.
WHAT
Crews will excavate small areas to verify the location of existing bridge foundations in preparation for the construction of the 11.5-mile Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension light rail project. Some lane
closures are required to accomplish this work.
WHEN
This operation is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 7 and will continue until Wednesday, May 9, weather permitting. Anticipated work hours will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
WHERE
Crews will be working on Huntington Drive and 2nd Avenue in Arcadia, CA.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Right lanes, in each direction, will be intermittently closed during this construction activity.
• Some slowdown in traffic may occur.
• Thru-traffic will be maintained for vehicles and cyclists at all times; pedestrians may be detoured.
• Access will be maintained to local residences and businesses.
• Signs will be posted to indicate street parking restrictions.
• Construction equipment noise will be heard near active work zones.
