Att. Armed Robbery/Rockford. 
Rockford Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery to a citizen that occured today at Family Dollar lot located at 3816 Broadway at 1747 hours. A woman in the lot was approached by a man who put a knife to her neck and demanded her purse. She refused. The man then fled to a dark colored car operated by a woman, and fled in the car. No injuries. #1 is a M/B, mid 30s, in dark clothing. #2 is an unknown female.
