The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early this morning outside a pool hall. Multiple people called 911 to report a shooting in the 2700 block of Majesty Drive at about 2 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Based on witness accounts and details gathered early in this homicide investigation, it is believed that an altercation began inside the business and moved outside to the parking lot. At one point, witnesses described seeing a black man reach out the passenger window of a red pickup truck and shoot at another man several times. That shooting victim was driven by ambulance to Dallas Methodist Hospital, where he later died. He has been identified as Zadric Walker, age 22.
There were two additional shooting victims with non-life threatening injuries. One man arrived at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in a private vehicle. The other was driven by ambulance to Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Investigators continue to talk to witnesses and gather details about the altercation inside the business and the shooting that followed in the parking lot. Anyone with information about the red truck or the passenger who is suspected of shooting the victim is encouraged to call Arlington Police Detective Byron Stewart at 817 459-5691, or call Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-TIPS (8477) to submit an anonymous tip.
