Operation Take-Back: Prescription Drug Drop-Off

On Saturday, April 28th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Surf City Police Department, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will give the public another opportunity to dispose of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to the Surf City Police Department at 813 Long Beach Boulevard. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Individuals may dispose of medications either in the original containers or by removing the medications from the containers and disposing directly into the drug disposal box. If disposing in the original containers, individuals are encouraged to remove the prescription labels if they contain any personal identifying information.
