Two Injured in Traffic Crash
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M Underwood Jr. is reporting that on 04/25/2012 at approximately 0712 hrs. Cass County Deputies handled a two vehicle traffic crash with two people being injured.
Deputies were dispatched to Decatur Rd. and Fox St. in Penn Township. Upon investigation of the crash it was determined that a vehicle being driven by a Tammy Abiney (49) of Cassopolis MI. failed to yield while leaving Maple Grove Trailer Park. Abiney pulled directly into the path of a North bound vehicle being driven by Debra Barnum (53) also of Cassopolis MI.
Barnum was injured in the crash and was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac MI. by Life Care Ambulance Service. Also injured was the front seat passenger in the Abiney vehicle. Eugene Storm (53) of Cassopolis MI. was transported to Borgess Lee memorial Hospital by Pride Care Ambulance Service.
Seat belts were used and alcohol was not a factor
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Penn Township Fire Department
