Shooting Suspect Apprehended By Century Deputies
On the morning of April 23, 2012, Century Sheriff’s station received a call of a gunshot victim near the 4000 block of Woodlawn Avenue in the city of Lynwood. Deputy personnel responded to the location and located a victim that was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg. After canvassing the area for witnesses, the deputies were able to determine a description of the suspect’s getaway vehicle. A crime broadcast was initiated and the suspect was apprehended a short time later and positively identified as a known gang member. The detection and quick arrest of armed persons by Century station personnel prevents violent crime.
