EPD Releases Composite Sketch of Suspect Wanted for Attacking Elderly Woman Last Friday

On Friday, April 20, 2012, at about 3:30 PM, an elderly woman was at her home in the 1900 block of Glenridge Rd. She was surprised by an intruder inside her home and then attacked by him when she tried to get away. The attacker injured the woman to a point where she had to be taken to a hospital for treatment. She sustained injury to her head and hands. She described the suspect as:
Male
Hispanic
About 16-18 years old
150 lbs.
5’ 6” to 5’ 7”
Clean shaven
Thick black combed back hair
Last seen wearing an unbuttoned blue/gray plaid long sleeve shirt over dark t-shirt w/white circular print & dark/solid color pants
EPD was able to work with a composite sketch artist to help with this investigation. About 20 minutes ago, that composite sketch was finalized and ready for public distribution. That composite sketch is included below. EPD has prepared Crime Alert flyers and is now distributing them in the area of the crime to supplement this News Release.
This case is on-going and no further details about the attack can be released at this time.
