NWS Special Weather Statement Alert, expires today at 5 pm: …Late season storm headed for Southern California Wednesday…
A late season storm…currently about 800 miles west of Los Angeles…is expected to spread rain & locally gusty winds into Southern California Wednesday & Wednesday night. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms south of Point Conception. Early rainfall estimates call for between ½ & 1 inch of rain with locally higher amounts along south facing slopes and near thunderstorms. The highest rainfall totals are expected to be from Santa Barbara south. Rain is expected to taper off Wednesday night with just a chance of lingering showers Thursday.
