Woman Attacked By Intruder

On Friday, April 20, 2012, at about 3:50 p.m., the Escondido Police Department received a call of an intruder at a home in the 1900 Blk. Glenridge Rd.
Officers arrived to find an injured elderly woman inside. She told the officers an unknown male entered her home and attacked her. He struck her with a piece of wood before leaving.
Officers canvassed the area and were not able to locate the suspect.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital where she was treated for her injuries. She is expected to recover from the attack.
The victim described her attacker as:
Hispanic male
Approximately 17 years
150 lbs
5' - 8"
Last seen wearing plaid shirt and blue jeans
