Animal Cruelty Investigation

On April 4, 2012, the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Animal Services responded to an apartment complex in the 1200 block of N. Masters Road, regarding a puppy being doused with a flammable liquid and set on fire. This offense was witnessed by several people.

As a result of the criminal investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Darius Ewing, B/M/ 9-13-1993, for Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals which is a State Jail Felony. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Darius Ewing should call 9-1-1 or contact the Southeast Investigative Unit at 214-670-8346. Do not try to apprehend him yourself.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the offense to determine if there are additional suspects or witnesses. Investigators ask anyone with information about the offense to contact the Southeast Investigative Unit or call Crimestoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477).
