April 10th, 2012-Christopher Burkett, 34, was arrested by Constable Woody Wallace after Burkett violated the terms of a protective order. Burkett was issued the protective order on the morning of April 10th around 9:30 AM and was in violation of the order within the hour. Burkett while violating the protective order also entered a house and took items without permission and was subsequently charged with burglary of a habitation a 2nd degree felony. Constable Wallace with the help of Onalaska Police Department arrested Burkett on FM 356 just outside of Onalaska shortly after Burkett left the residence. Within hours of being booked into the Trinity Jail, Burkett violated the terms of the protective order again by calling and threatening the victim. Burkett was charged with two counts of Violation of Protective Order, Burglary of a Habitation, and Terroristic Threat.
