03/19/2012- 2200 Block of Northfield-Church Rd- Credit Card Fraud- The victim reports that her JC Penny credit card was used at the Novi store. The case was forwarded to the Novi Police Department for follow up investigation.

03/19/2012- 6000 Block of Eight Mile Rd- Home Invasion- The victim reports that an unknown subject entered their residence and removed a laptop computer from the house. The case is currently being investigated by the responding officer.

03/20/2012- 8000 Block of Main St- Damaged Property- The Whitmore Lake Middle School reports several buses were entered and fire extinguisher were discharged inside causing damage. The case is currently being investigated by the responding officer.

03/21/2012- 4000 Block of Lyndon Lane- Identity Theft- The victim reports that his income taxes were returned because someone had used his social security number on another tax return. The case was turned over to the Internal Revenue Service.

03/23/2012- 60000 Block of Eight Mile Rd-Larceny - The victim reports that and unknown subject removed tin trimming from their property. The theft happened on two separate nights. The case is being investigated by the responding officer.

03/25/2012- 7000 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd- Larceny – The victim reports the theft of her Whitmore Lake High school softball fundraiser money and fundraiser cards from a friend’s vehicle. The total of the amount stolen is $400 in cash and cards. The case is being investigated by the responding officer.

03/26/2012- 6000 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd- Stolen Trailer- The owner of Nowatzke’s reports a trailer was stolen from the lot during the night. There were no witnesses and currently no suspects.

03/27/2012-9000 Block of Earhart Rd- Identity Theft- The victim reports that his income taxes were returned because someone had used his social security number on another tax return. The case was turned over to the Internal Revenue Service.

03/29/2012- 8000 Block of Main St- Harassment- The victim reports that the he was receiving harassing calls from a known subject. The responding officer made contact with the subject making the calls and settled the matter to close out the case.

Larcenies (Thefts) are on the rise -Remember to keep valuables secured, out of site, inventoried with serial numbers documented.
