CITY OF NEW PORT RICHEY PRESENTS FREE MOVIE FRIDAY SERIES
April Screening of Battle for Terra at Sims Park

New Port Richey, FL (April 13, 2012) – The City of New Port Richey’s Cultural Affairs Committee presents the Spring & Fall Free for All: Movie in the Park taking place April 20 in Sims Park, downtown New Port Richey.

April’s animated feature film, Battle for Terra, is sponsored by Encore Music Store, Leaning Tower of Pizza, Sigi's Place and Ecology Florida. The movie will begin around 7:30 pm or at dark. It is FREE to attend; guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

A representative from Career Central will be giving a presentation immediately before the movie.

Megan Daniel will be showing a brief presentation entitled "Opportunities Before the Movies." The presentation will cover information about the numerous services and programs available for free to all Pasco residents at Career Central, and will include information regarding recent new job openings and a tutorial on how to apply for the positions. Wilbur’s Fun Zone will be on site again. Kids (and parents too!) can romp in the bounce houses before the movie, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase all evening long. The bounce house will be open at 6:00 pm; $5 for a wristband provides unlimited usage all evening.

The Cultural Affairs Committee is a group of community volunteers, appointed by City Council, to provide a voice for citizens who wish to see the arts and culture become an integral part of our city, provide a strong identity and strengthen our sense of community.
