Sheriff’s Deputy Response to a Family Fight Results in an Officer Involved Shooting and the Death of an Adult Male

Keyes, CA – On Monday at 4:39 PM a Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 5700 Block of 10th Street in Keyes, CA for a family fight. Shortly after arriving on scene the deputy requested assistance after advising he had deployed his Taser. While back-up units were en route to assist the deputy the deputy advised that shots had been fired. Officers from various agencies responded to assist.

An adult male was transported to a Modesto hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives were still at the residence on 10th Street gathering evidence and will work through out the evening to determine what led up to today’s officer involved shooting. The release of the adult males name will not be available until detectives have made positive identification.
