Parcells School was evacuated due to a fire alarm as result of a power failure. No fire occurred.
Mason, Parcells and G. P. North are being advised to inform their students to stay out of the area and take alternate walking routes after dismissal.
Vernier Road westbound from Mack is closed.
Residents are asked to stay out of backyards and use caution. Fences can become electrified and travel yard to yard.
Many businesses are without power on Mack from Vernier to Lochmoor on the west side of the street.
