NWS has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Santa Barbara County
Residents are urged to use caution while driving and when in low-lying areas traditionally subject to flooding.
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION. HIGHEST RAINFALL RATES WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS HAVE BEEN BETWEEN ONE HALF AND THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH PER HOUR.
RAINFALL OF THIS INTENSITY WILL PRODUCE WIDESPREAD PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND LOCALIZED FLOODING OF INTERSECTIONS AND LOW-LYING AREAS...AS WELL AS INCREASED RUNOFF IN STREAMS.
A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
