As of Monday, April 15th, 2012, the Anne Arundel County Police Department, along with most other local police agencies will no longer be providing civilian fingerprinting services.
This is due to State requirements that go into effect that all fingerprints submitted for civilian background checks (gun permits, job applications, various license applications, etc.) be submitted electronically from digitally captured fingerprints.
INK ROLLED FINGERPRINTES ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED.
Although the Anne Arundel County Police Deparment utilizes "Livescan" technology to capture the fingerprints of criminal arrestees, it is not equipped to capture and electronically transmit digitally captured fingerprints for civilian background check purposes.
