Two wounded in 4-7-12 shooting in 3600 block of Neuches, no arrests.

On 4-7-12, at about 11:10 PM, officers were sent to a home in the 3600 block of Neuches on a shooting. Officers found two victims inside the home. A HM juvenile with an Amarillo address was suffering from a bullet wound to the upper right arm. A HM age 20 of another address had been shot in the right wrist. Both were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The wounds did not appear to be life-threatening. Initial witness interviews indicate that six people, including the two victims, were in front of the home. They were standing near a disabled vehicle parked there. The witnesses heard what they described as “about 20” shots coming from the alley north of the residence. After the shooting, they saw three or four suspects run to a vehicle in the alley. The suspects got into the vehicle, which then left the area. Investigators are still evaluating witness descriptions of the vehicle. The victims, the vehicle, and the home were struck by the gunfire. Officers recovered 18 expended cartridge casings of two different calibers from the alley. APD detectives are continuing an investigation of the incident and there have been no arrests or charges.
