Washington Selectmen have an important message for you! There will be a special Town Meeting on Saturday April 28 regarding town leasing Town property for a cell tower. See the full warrant below:

SPECIAL MEETING TOWN WARRANT 2012
To the inhabitants of the Town of Washington qualified to vote in Town affairs:
You are hereby notified to meet at Camp Morgan Lodge in said Washington on Saturday, the twenty-eighth day of April at two o'clock afternoon. The following articles will be acted upon:
ARTICLE 1. To authorize the Board of Selectmen, according to RSA 41:11-a, to lease an area of Town property located on Tax Map 16-070-01, 963 South Main Street also known as the Public Works/Transfer Station to construct a cell phone tower for a term of five years.
ARTICLE 2. To authorize the Board of Selectmen, according to RSA 41:11-a, III, to rent or lease municipal property for a term of up to five years without further vote or ratification by the Town. Once adopted, this authority shall remain in effect until specifically rescinded by the legislative body at any duly warned meeting provided that any terms in effect prior to the rescission shall remain in effect.
ARTICLE 3. To transact any other business that may legally come before this meeting.
