Armed Robbery to Citizen, Laredo Liquors, 1634 S. Main St.

Around 5:02pm this afternoon, Officers were sent to to Laredo Liquors, 1634 S. Main Street reference a car jacking. At the same time, this department also received calls of shots fired on South Main street. Upon arrival, officers learned of an Armed Robbery to a victim who'd visited an ATM and who was about to enter her vehicle. The suspect, armed with a handgun, grabbed the victim and pointed the weapon at her as he requested her money. A struggle ensued and the suspect fired a shot into the air. The suspect then ran to a waiting vehicle, entered and the vehicle which left the area. Suspect managed to escape with US currency. The victim received minor scratches. This incident is currently under investigation, anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
