March 31, 2012 - Deputy Constables Cole & Barrett arrest suspect caught on video stealing from Trinity High School.

March 31, 2012 - After following up on several leads and receiving several tips from citizens. The TCCP1 has identified and arrested Curtis Lee Lucas, 21 years old, charging him with felony burglary of a building. On February 24, 2012 a video of Lucas was posted stealing several electronic items from students at the Trinity High School. Although a student let Lucas into the building, Lucas is being charged with burglary because he went into rooms that he did not have permission to do so and stole items. Lucas became aware he was wanted and eluded law enforcement for several weeks moving from town to town. Deputy Constables Mark Cole and Rusty Barrett were able to track Lucas to a housing addition in Cleveland, Texas where they subsequently arrested him. Lucas was held in Trinity County under a $75,000.00 bond. Constable Wallace and Deputy Constables received a full confession from Lucas.
