On March 30, 2012, the Dallas Police Department received a call from a man concerned over the welfare of his 11 year old grandson, Johnathan Ramsey. The responding officers were also concerned so they contacted Missing Persons and Youth Detectives. As a result, a full scale investigation was initiated. Detectives were able to determine the child was deceased. Conflicting statements were received from the child’s father, Aaron Ramsey (w/m/3-20-78) and step-mother, Elizabeth Ramsey (w/f/11-4-80), but sufficient information was gathered to arrest them both for Injury to a Child F/1. Officers are currently searching an area in Ellis County for the child’s remains.
