HINDERING PROSECUTION ARRESTS
Two individuals from Etowah County have been arrested and charged with an offense concerning hindering prosecution.
“Jeff Morgan, 53, and Julie Ann Morgan, 50, both of Altoona, were booked into the Detention Center on March 29th. Both Jeff and Julie Ann are charged with one count of first degree hindering prosecution, which is a felony,” states Investigator Tracey Bishop.
Bishop says these charges stem from two incidents in which a female victim was sexually abused at their residence located in Altoona.
The incidents occurred in February and March of this year.
A concerned citizen initially reported the incidents to Altoona Police Department, who then contacted the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeff and Julie Ann were released from the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond each.
